MINNESOTA JOBS COALITION STATEMENT ON JERRY LOUD
Minnesota Jobs Coalition President Kevin Magnuson issued the following statement in response to learning that Jerry Loud (DFL-02A) had repeatedly abused his ex-wife sending “her to the emergency room several times,” before “[s]he took her daughter and ran to Texas to hide from Loud, who she said had threatened to kill her.”
“Like many Minnesotans I was deeply troubled by the revelation that Jerry Loud repeatedly abused his ex-wife and according to her threatened to kill her. Violence against women must never be tolerated. Loud’s actions are disqualifying and I hope Chairman Martin along with the rest of the Minnesota DFL will join us in condemning Loud’s actions as well as his candidacy. Our state deserves better from those who hope to represent it.”
