With Today’s Town Hall, Obama Outpaces Many DFL State Representatives
As President Barack Obama holds a town hall in Minneapolis today, Obama will have held more town halls in Minnesota this year than many DFL state representatives.
“It’s not surprising that so many Democrats are unwilling to hold town hall meetings to face their constituents. DFLers should be nervous about defending their party-line votes, including more than $ 2 billion dollars in tax increases, a lavish $90 million dollar office building for politicians, and the Obamacare debacle in Minnesota,” said Ben Golnik, Chairman of the Minnesota Jobs Coalition. “Come November, the DFL will pay a steep political price for being so out of touch with Minnesotans.”
Among the DFL state representatives who haven’t held public town halls for their constituents this year:
Tom Anzelc (Balsam Township)
Zachary Dorholt (St. Cloud)
Patti Fritz (Faribault)
Shannon Savick (Wells)
Mary Sawatzky (Willmar)
Yvonne Selcer (Minnetonka)
John Ward (Baxter)
