Walz Bucks Labor, Sides With Far-Left Yet Again
St. Paul, Minn – Thursday, Tim Walz announced his opposition to a proposed constitutional amendment dedicating existing automobile related taxes and fees to transportation investment. The Minnesota Jobs Coalition issued the following statement in response.
“While labor leaders have been working with legislators on finding common sense solutions, Tim Walz’s opposition to this common sense proposal has proven yet again that he is beholden to the far-left activists in the DFL,” said Minnesota Jobs Coalition executive director John Rouleau.
“Most puzzling however is Walz’s false claim that ‘Minnesota has gone far too long without additional serious funding into transportation.’ Perhaps Tim Walz should spend less time in Washington and instead pay more attention to what’s going on in Minnesota where Republicans led the charge to invest nearly $6 billion on Minnesota’s transportation infrastructure just last year.“
