St. Paul — Minnesota Jobs Coalition President Mark Drake issued the following response to Lyle Koenen’s renewed support for a gas tax increase.
“Lyle Koenen confirmed that he is out of touch with everyday Minnesotans when he chose to double down on supporting a massive gas tax increase. A tax increase of greater than 50 percent means hundreds of dollars out of Minnesota families pockets each year because Koenen refuses to look toward responsible solutions to invest in roads and bridges, instead of raising taxes repeatedly.”
“The other question is whether Koenen specifically supports a gas tax increase. He said he does and that he doesn’t think ’16 cents is too out of line.’” (Catharine Richert “PoliGraph: Jobs Coalition ad mostly right” MPR News April 3, 2015)
